Battlefield America: As The COVID Story Falls Apart, A New Crisis Takes Over
For months the global health pandemic known as the coronavirus or COVID-19 has been dominating the headlines while drastically changing the lives of billions of people around the world. With unprecedented restrictions of people’s fundamental human rights, while simultaneously destroying the global economy, what is really going on?
Many have questioned the response from governments and global institutions such as the World Health Organization from the very beginning. Now, the CDC admits the mortality rate of the virus is much lower than previously projected, but the question remains why are we all still on lockdown?
Although the question for the need of continued lockdowns is now more important than ever, it seems to be lost as we are witnessing massive civil unrest spread across the US just as quickly as we were told the virus was spreading.
Are these protests spontaneous? Or is there an outside force facilitating the unrest, as we seem to be entering the second stage of a much larger operation? Is this the stage between phase one and phase two of the outbreak? A summer of chaos? In an election year, does it resemble shades of a Soros-sponsored color revolution, or a new form of Operation Gladio?
Regardless, it is almost impossible to deny the US, among many other nations, is in the midst of a rapid destabilization operation.

The pejorative term for police officers here (Bosnia) is “dogs”. You have a different pejorative word for that.
I know a lot of “dogs”.
Dogs will pull you over while you are driving a car and hold you while he found something wrong about your car, then he tries to write you a ticket, but slowly, suggesting that ticket is for example 100 USD, but you can avoid it by bribing him with 20 USD.
Dogs also will come on your 911 call, for example, for a domestic violence call, but they park their car in front of the building and wait for the violence to calm down. Then they come in and talk with the family, trying to purposely inform the victim (the woman, for example) that it was nothing, and that she kinda deserved it.
Dogs have their own “workers” on the street here, small-time criminals or drug dealers who work under their protection, dealing drugs, or guns, and paying the dogs a percentage.
Dogs here work their shifts, and after their regular hours, work for local drug lords, gun dealers, or simply for organized crime members as a protection or information source.
Then there are the kind of dogs who are police simply because they like feeling of power over other folks. Right or wrong does not mean anything important to them. It is about a feeling of power. It is about doing violence because of the love of violence.
That makes them dogs.
And, yes, I have seen regular prewar “dogs” turn into war criminals during war. It is that kind of person who ends up being the worst kind actually.
To simplify it more, it is about what kind of person you are. If you are a bad person, the uniform and “law” behind it can simply strengthen evil in you, or in other words, it can pull the evil to surface.
Then there are police officers.
Police officers are usually people who joined to make a difference. Or to “serve and protect”.
I know a lot of them too.
People who wear police uniforms are usually underpaid, under-equipped, and immobilized by a whole set of rules and laws that are often contradictory. These people are just trying to do their job; and even more than that, they are trying to make a difference.
I have nothing but the highest respect for them.
The generalization that all cops are “dogs”, or all cops are police officers who serve and protect is very wrong, just like any other generalization in these hard and “interesting” times.
I do know that a man who should be highly trained must know that by obstructing breathing, and blood flow to the brain for a few minutes will for sure kill a man.
The protests
Protesting is a way that people try express their feelings in an effective way to try and make changes.
The problem here is that protests usually go in some weird direction, so you could find yourself easily in a situation where you go out carrying a cardboard sign with a good message, but in a half-hour you end up in the middle of a crowd that is breaking and looting, and you as a prepper simply do not want to be there.
Simply do not be there.
Another problem is that we (again) live in “interesting” times, so any event that sparks huge emotions among folks, for example like rage, can be a trigger for something bigger.
Even more, it can be used by someone as a starting event for much bigger sh*t. Usually, it’s only years later that you’ll find out that someone or some group, faction, or whoever, played you like a violin, counting on your feelings of rage. I have seen this before and have seen where it ended up.
From the survivalist point of view, any event that leads to high polarization between people on political, racial, national, or any other way is a major risk for sparking something bigger.
I am not saying the event that caused these protests is not horrible and not important. On the contrary, it is very horrible and important. But, again, from the prepper point of view, calm down and watch where you will find yourself when bullets start to fly, even rubber ones.
Go back to some lessons
Let’s forget (it is hard, but let’s try for the moment) about the details that started this particular event and go back to some basics:
- In events where so many emotions (especially rage) are involved, and there is the possibility of violence, the best advice is simple: do not be there.
- Stating publicly your opinion is democracy or freedom of speech today. But tomorrow, in changed circumstances, it can turn you into a target.
- Step back and try to recognize how, together with a whole bunch of existing sharp polarizations (wear a mask or don’t), this new polarization can complicate things. Recognize where it can lead.
- Ask yourself: who can use this situation and for what purpose? And what does that mean for you? What can you do about that?
The event that unleashes devastation
Go back and try to watch and judge the events you see from the prepper point of view, not an emotional one. Because you are a prepper and your goal is survival.
I have seen this before and it led to SHTF in my country.
We are living in a very delicate world after all that has happened and is still happening around us. With all the turmoil, the bad economy, the job losses, and the uncertain future all that is needed to cause things to crash down is just one spark.
That spark can be deliberately used, or it can be a chain of events that will unleash even more devastating things that are boiling under the surface.
That spark may lead to chaos.
“It’s All Bullsh*t” – 3 Leaks That Sink The COVID Narrative
In recent days a series of leaks across the globe have further shown the “official line” on coronavirus does not hold water…
The science of the coronavirus is not disputed. It is well documented and openly admitted:
- Most people won’t get the virus.
- Most of the people who get it won’t display symptoms.
- Most of the people who display symptoms will only be mildly sick.
- Most of the people with severe symptoms will never be critically ill.
- And most of the people who get critically ill will survive.
This is borne out by the numerous serological studies which show, again and again, that the infection fatality ratio is on par with flu.
There is no science – and increasingly little rational discussion – to justify the lockdown measures and overall sense of global panic.
Nevertheless, it’s always good to get official acknowledgement of the truth, even if it has to be leaked.
Here are three leaks showing that those in power know that the coronavirus poses no threat, and in no way justifies the lockdown that is going to destroy the livelihoods of so many.
1. “IT’S ALL BULLSHIT!”
On May 26th Dr Alexander Myasnikov, Russia’s head of coronavirus information, gave an interview to former-Presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak in which he apparently let slip his true feelings.
Believing the interview over, and the camera turned off, Myasnikov said:
It’s all bullshit […] It’s all exaggerated. It’s an acute respiratory disease with minimal mortality […] Why has the whole world been destroyed? That I don’t know,”
2. “COVID-19 CANNOT BE DESCRIBED AS A GENERALLY DANGEROUS DISEASE”
According to an e-mail leaked to Danish newspaper Politiken, the Danish Health Authority disagree with their government’s approach to the coronavirus. They cover it in two articles here and here (For those who don’t speak Danish, thelocal.dk have covered the story too).
There’s a lot of interesting information there, not least of which is the clear implication that politicians appear to be pressing the scientific advisors to overstate the danger (they did the same thing in the UK), along with the decision of some civil servants to withhold data from the public until after the lockdown had been extended.
But by far the most important quote is from a March 15th e-mail [our emphasis]:
The Danish Health Authority continues to consider that covid-19 cannot be described as a generally dangerous disease, as it does not have either a usually serious course or a high mortality rate,”
On March 12th the Danish parliament passed an emergency law which – among many other things – decreased the power of the Danish Health Authority, demoting it from a “regulatory authority” to just an “advisory” one.
3. “A GLOBAL FALSE ALARM”
Earlier this month, on May 9th, a report was leaked to the German alternate media magazine Tichys Einblick titled “Analysis of the Crisis Management”.
The report was commissioned by the German department of the interior, but then its findings were ignored, prompting one of the authors to release it through non-official channels.
The fall out of that, including attacks on the authors and minimising of the report’s findings, is all very fascinating and we highly recommend this detailed report on Strategic Culture (or read the full report here in German).
We’re going to focus on just the reports conclusions, including [our emphasis]:
- The dangerousness of Covid-19 was overestimated: probably at no point did the danger posed by the new virus go beyond the normal level.
- The danger is obviously no greater than that of many other viruses. There is no evidence that this was more than a false alarm.
- During the Corona crisis the State has proved itself as one of the biggest producers of Fake News.
After being attacked in the press, and suspended from his job, the leaker and other authors of the report released a joint statement, calling on the government to respond to their findings.
If the current crisis was being approached rationally by all parties, these leaks would seal the debate. Evidence is piling up that the people in charge knew, from the very beginning, that the virus was not dangerous. The question remaining is: Why are these leaks happening now?
This Is How Systems Collapse
Flooding the financial system with “free money” only restores the illusion of stability
I updated my How Systems Collapse graphic from 2018 with a “we are here” line to indicate our current precarious position just before the waterfall:
For those who would argue we’re nowhere near collapse, consider that over 20% of the Federal Reserve’s $2 trillion spew of free money went directly into the pockets of America’s billionaires: $434 billion by the latest estimates, while most of the rest went into the pockets of the top 10% who own all the assets that the Fed is goosing higher while millions of households are worried about feeding themselves: (American billionaires got $434 billion richer during the pandemic).
In America’s system, the solution to soaring, destabilizing inequality is… to goose inequality to new heights. No wonder there’s no middle ground left politically, socially or financially, and social disorder is so easily ignited. There are few feedback loops left in our fragile system; the rich get richer, and rather than restore some balance, our political system further empowers the parasitic and predatory financial elites. The rich and politically powerful are one group, sharing control of public and private institutions.
One way to understand “middle ground” is that the middle ground acts as a buffer between systemic extremes. The key concepts here are stability and buffers. Though complex systems are never static, but they can be stable: that is, they ebb and flow within relatively stable states supported by buffers.
America’s social, political and economic buffers have been thinned by extremes and excesses, but nobody noticed or cared: America’s reigning credo is: anything goes, winners take all.
In systems, this ebb and flow of low-level volatility generates stability and adaptation. In natural systems, feedback loops between the weather, environment and plant/animal species keep the ecosystem in a state of dynamic equilibrium. Ideal weather conditions may spark a rise in an insect population, for example, which then enables an increase in insect-predator populations (fish, birds, frogs, etc.) which then increases the consumption of the insects and reduces the impact of the higher insect population.
If the river runs low, the human populace relies on wells for reserves of water. In good harvests, grain is set aside for lean harvests; the wells and grain stores are buffers which can be drawn down to restore stability to a stressed system.
Buffers are largely invisible and of little common interest in times of abundance. When water and grain are well-supplied, who cares if the stores have spoiled and the well water tastes bad?
A system with thin buffers and few feedback loops looks robust on the surface but is highly vulnerable to collapse. In our example, the first lean harvest and low water flow completely drain the reserves, and the second year of drought triggers a collapse of the system.
In our complex socio-economic system, the buffers are largely invisible. As a general rule, “money” (currency created by central banks and private banks when a loan is issued) is our all-purpose buffer: if something becomes scarce and threatens the system, we print/ borrow into existence more “money” which is distributed to buy whatever is needed.
But “money” is an illusory buffer. If the well has run dry, no amount of money will restore ground water. If the fisheries have collapsed due to overfishing, no amount of currency issued by the Federal Reserve will restore the fisheries. In other words, the natural world provides hard limits that money can only fix if buffers are available for purchase.
“Money” is itself a system, a system with financial buffers, buffers that have been consumed by the speculative excesses of the private sector and the financial repression of central banks. These buffers are largely invisible; few know what’s going on in global liquidity markets, for example. Yet when liquidity dries up, for whatever reason, markets go bidless and asset prices go into freefall.
Flooding the financial system with “free money” only restores the illusion of stability. As noted in my diagram, restoring and maintaining an apparent stability thins buffers to the point of dangerous fragility.
When buffers are paper-thin, a crisis that would have been overcome with ease in the past triggers the collapse of the entire system. Everyone who based their faith in the system on its surface stability is stunned by the rapidity of the collapse, for how could such a vast, apparently robust system implode with so little warning?
The financial system’s buffers have been thinning for 20 long years, but nobody seems to care. The quality of risk, debt, borrowers and speculative gambles have all declined, but faith in the “Fed put”–that the Federal Reserve can fix anything and everything by printing endless trillions– is quasi-religious: few doubt the limitless power of the Fed’s currency-printing machinery to quickly overcome any crisis.
This is how systems collapse: misplaced faith in the visible surface of abundance generates fatal complacency and confidence, and the fragility of the buffers goes unnoticed.
Just before the collapse, central bank currency is super-abundant, but systemic stability is near-zero and all the buffers are paper-thin: the Fed’s trillions create an illusion of safety, as if all we need to do to restore the lost middle ground and buffers is to hand America’s most parasitic and predatory clique another $434 billion in stock market wealth.
Doing more of what has destabilized the system in the belief that new extremes will somehow restore equilibrium is simply rowing faster as we speed toward the waterfall of systemic collapse.

As recently as last week, Representative Adam Schiff was continuing to mislead his followers by peddling the long-disproved Russian Collusion Hoax, and Twitter did not flag those tweets.Unsurprisingly, its officer in charge of so-called ‘Site Integrity’ has flaunted his political bias in his own tweets.At the same time online platforms are invoking inconsistent, irrational, and groundless justifications to censor or otherwise restrict Americans’ speech here at home, several online platforms are profiting from and promoting the aggression and disinformation spread by foreign governments like China. One United States company, for example, created a search engine for the Chinese Communist Party that would have blacklisted searches for “human rights,” hid data unfavorable to the Chinese Communist Party, and tracked users determined appropriate for surveillance. It also established research partnerships in China that provide direct benefits to the Chinese military. Other companies have accepted advertisements paid for by the Chinese government that spread false information about China’s mass imprisonment of religious minorities, thereby enabling these abuses of human rights.”
A study published in the Lancet on Friday which prompted the World Health Organization to halt global trials of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 has fallen under scrutiny over a data discrepancy, The Guardian reports. According to the study – a data analysis of nearly 15,000 patients who received HCQ alone or with antibiotics (and conspicuously without zinc – the key ingredient), COVID-19 patients who received HCQ reportedly died at higher rates and experienced more cardiac complications than those without. As a result, the WHO halted all its trials involving the drug, which has been promoted by dozens of prominent doctors, and recently ordered by Indian health officials for use as a prophylactic against the disease.The study, led by the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Center for Advanced Heart Disease in Boston, examined patients in hospitals around the world, including in Australia. It said researchers gained access to data from five hospitals recording 600 Australian Covid-19 patients and 73 Australian deaths as of 21 April.But data from Johns Hopkins University shows only 67 deaths from Covid-19 had been recorded in Australia by 21 April. The number did not rise to 73 until 23 April. The data relied upon by researchers to draw their conclusions in the Lancet is not readily available in Australian clinical databases, leading many to ask where it came from. -The Guardian
As American and Russian military jets operate dangerously close to each other earlier this week, for the third time in months, Russia has just announced, it will launch the Poseidon submarine drone, dubbed the “Doomsday Drone” and or a “Nuclear Torpedo,” with an impressive range that could autonomously traverse the Atlantic Ocean and cause quite a stir in Washington. Several Russian media outlets are reporting the developments. RIA Novosti said a military source has confirmed the unmanned underwater vehicle, which can carry a nuclear warhead, is scheduled to launch this fall. The source said the launch would be conducted from a K-329 Belgorod nuclear submarine. There was no indication of where the launch site would be. Powered by a small nuclear reactor, Poseidon has a top speed estimated at between 60 and 100 knots, with an impressive range of 6,200 miles, and when launched from the Barents Sea or somewhere in the Arctic, can autonomously traverse the North Atlantic, an area where Russia, China, and the US are each trying to stake a claim, due mostly to the trillions of dollars of natural resources beneath the ocean.
Early this week we took note of the increasingly tense border dispute between historic longtime enemies Greece and Turkey, specifically concentrated along the Evros River which separates the two. Athens charged that Turkish troops had conducted a land grab at a site where the river level went down, altering its course, or essentially orchestrating a quiet military ‘invasion’ of sovereign Greek territory in progress. “At the camp there is now a small Turkish flag flying from a tree. Troops have rejected Greek demands to withdraw. It comes weeks after thousands of Syrian refugees failed to break through into Greece,” The Daily Mail has described of the dispute. This also comes after months of Turkey’s Erdogan threatening to unleash Syrian refugee and migrant chaos on the EU — which he’s already made good on to a limited degree — resulting in clashes between Greek border patrols and an influx of Middle East migrants.
Carlos Bolsonaro, Brazilian president’s social media savvy son, attacked what he called an “unconstitutional, political and ideological” investigation. Brazil’s Federal Police named Carlos Bolsonaro, son of President Jair Bolsonaro, as an organizer of a criminal scheme that spread fake news. Carlos is being investigated on suspicion of being one of the leaders of the group that assembles attacks to intimidate and threaten public authorities on the Internet. Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes said in his decision that there are indications of a scheme for the the mass dissemination of messages on social networks to damage the image of the highest court, endangering the “independence of judicial power.” He said the network appears to be financed by a group of business leaders close to the government. Sought in writing and by telephone, Carlos’ chief of staff did not respond to the report’s contacts.
A gang of monkeys in Delhi, India assaulted a laboratory assistant and escaped with coronavirus test samples from three patients. The incident happened near Meerut Medical College. According to the report, one of the monkeys was later spotted in a tree chewing one of the sample collection kits. In March we noted that rival monkey gangs in Thailand – driven by starvation due to a lack of visitors amid the pandemic – have been roving the streets looking for food. The ferocity of the animals shocked even locals, who are used to seeing the monkeys on a daily basis. One onlooker who captured video of the monkeys said: “They looked more like wild dogs than monkeys. They went crazy for the single piece of food. I’ve never seen them this aggressive.”
The Ayatollah has an account on Twitter platform, where he routinely spouts dangerously anti-American rhetoric, without drawing even a whiff of scrutiny from Twitter (or the American left).
Some countries charge fees for extending visas to people stuck on their territories amid the coronavirus lockdowns, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday. “We are very thankful to those countries which have shown empathy and extended visas free of charge. But there are a number of countries which opted otherwise, although visa extension costs a lot and people are short of money. Not only to extend their visas. They have no money at all,” she said during an online conference of the Moscow Diplomatic Club. Many people stuck in foreign countries, in her words, are facing lots of problems, such as the lack of job, contacts with the family, transport logistics, etc. “And on top of that, they are supposed to pay for the visa extension, although it is not their fault, it is a force majeure event. An objective reality. Notably, some countries charge hundreds of dollars to extend visas,” Zakharova said. “This experience needs to be analyzed too and it will be taken into account in our diplomatic work,” she added.
India is battling the worst desert locust outbreak in decades eating their way across vast swath of crops in Rajasthan, now invading Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. “Though an individual locust is small in size, impact of large numbers on the windshield is known to have impacted the pilot forward vision. This is a grave concern during the landing, taxi and takeoff phase,” the DGCA circular said. Pitot and static sources can also get partially or fully blocked while flying through locust swarms, it stated. “Blocked pitot and static sources lead to erroneous instrument indications, especially unreliable air speed and altimeter indications,” it said. A pitot tube in airplanes is used to measure the flow speed of the wind.
The unarmed black man who died after being pinned to the ground by a white cop, sparking riots in Minneapolis, reportedly knew his alleged killer. Ex-cop Derek Chauvin and George Floyd both worked as security guards at the El Nuevo Rodeo club and restaurant in the city. Maya Santamaria, who owns the building, told KSTP, “Chauvin was our off-duty police for almost the entirety of the 17 years that we were open. They were working together at the same time, it’s just that Chauvin worked outside and the security guards were inside.”
A leopard which had strayed into a chicken farm in Champadevi, Kirtipur, Nepal, has been rescued by forest officials. Locals had set up a trap after noticing that chickens were going missing for the past five days from the farm. On Friday, they found the big cat trapped. Forest officials were called who then darted the animal and rescued it. Over the years, sightings of common leopards have increased in various places of Kathmandu Valley, which wildlife experts believe is due to shrinking habitats and drying up of water resources inside forests.
The cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are imposing a curfew starting 8 p.m. Friday, their mayors declared Friday. The curfews will last until 6 a.m. Saturday, and then go into effect again at 8 p.m. Saturday, expiring 6 a.m. Sunday. “During the curfew, all persons must not travel on any public street or in any public place,” according to Mayor Jacob Frey’s resolution. The curfews do not extend to people traveling to or from work, emergency services, law enforcement, people seeking emergency medical care, the homeless and the news media. Violations of the curfew are a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz Calls for Criminal Investigation Into Twitter for ‘Blatant and Willful Violation’ of U.S. Sanctions on Iran by Providing Social Media Accounts and Services.
The fired Minneapolis police officer who was seen pressing his knee on George Floyd’s neck on video has been arrested and charged with murder, officials said Friday. Derek Chauvin, who was a 19-year veteran with the city’s police department, has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension took Chauvin into custody at 11:44 a.m. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said the investigation is ongoing into the other three officers involved, all of whom have been fired. Freeman said his office wanted to focus on the “most dangerous perpetrator,” and that “this is by far the fastest we have ever charged a police officer.”
From June, foreign residents of South Korea have to provide a medical certificate showing they are negative for COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus, to reenter the country. The ministry said the new disease control policy applies to people leaving the country after June, including long-term residency permit holders. The certificate has to be issued within the last 48 hours from the time of departure in order to be deemed valid, the ministry said, which effectively revokes reentry permits. Self-isolating for 14 days is still required upon arrival.
Sun Activity
The Strongest Solar Flares Since 2017: For the first time in more than two years, the sun is really flaring. Today, May 29th, Earth-orbiting satellites detected an M1-class solar flare (07:24 UTC) followed by a C9-class flare (10:46 UTC). Both came from a likely sunspot hiding just behind the sun’s northeastern limb. These are the strongest solar flares since Oct. 20, 2017–the last time the sun produced an M-class eruption. In fact, they might be even stronger they they seem. The explosions were partially eclipsed by the edge of the sun, reducing their apparent intensity. So far the flares have not much affected Earth. The underlying sunspot is facing away from our planet. However, that could soon change. Solar rotation will bring the ‘spot over the limb within the next 24 to 48 hours. Future flares could be geoeffective. Technically, we don’t know for sure that the active region *is* a sunspot. The underlying dark cores have not yet been sighted. Confirmation awaits better viewing geometry–probably tomorrow.
