Hack of Federal Government Larger Than Previously Thought, Warns CISA
The federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said Thursday that the hacking campaign that targeted the federal government is larger than what was previously known.
The alleged foreign actors gained backdoor access in more ways than through the SolarWinds software, which was publicly disclosed by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) earlier this week.
“One of the initial access vectors for this activity is a supply chain compromise of the following SolarWinds Orion products. CISA has evidence of additional initial access vectors, other than the SolarWinds Orion platform; however, these are still being investigated,” CISA said in a statement on Thursday.
But it stressed that the “SolarWinds Orion supply chain compromise is not the only initial infection vector this advanced persistent threat actor leveraged.”
The agency also furthermore warned that the threat “poses a grave risk to the Federal Government and state, local, tribal, and territorial governments as well as critical infrastructure entities” as well as the private sector.
Foreign hackers, whose country of origin is not known, compromised “government agencies, critical infrastructure entities, and private sector organizations” starting in March 2020 or before, according to CISA.
The cybersecurity agency noted that it “expects that removing this threat actor from compromised environments will be highly complex and challenging for organizations,” adding: “It is likely that the adversary has additional initial access vectors and tactics, techniques, and procedures that have not yet been discovered.”
CISA said that it will continue to investigate incidents that “exhibit adversary TTPs consistent with this activity, including … were victims either do not leverage SolarWinds Orion or where SolarWinds Orion was present but where there was no SolarWinds exploitation activity observed.”
On Sunday night, CISA issued a federal government-wide directive to purge all agency networks of possibly compromised servers after finding out that the U.S. Departments of Treasury and Commerce were breached. Other federal government agencies are also said to have been compromised.
Furthermore, SolarWinds acknowledged in a Sunday statement that its systems were compromised by hackers, saying its Orion software update was the means by which the hackers exploited. The malign actors then distributed malware to its customers’ computers, the Texas-based firm said.
The incident drew the attention of members of Congress. Several senators sent a letter (pdf) to FBI Director Christopher Wray asking for the “scope and details” of the hacking—and its impact on the operations of the federal government.
Security researcher Vinoth Kumar told Reuters this week that he told SolarWinds in 2019 that its update server could be accessed easily by using the simple password, “solarwinds123.”
“This could have been done by any attacker, easily,” Kumar told the news outlet. Kumar first notified the company of the security problem on Nov. 19, 2019, and SolarWinds responded to him several days later.
Kumar told Newsweek later that the password security problem appeared to be present back in June 2018.
Department of Homeland Security Confirms ‘Cyber Breaches Across Federal Government’
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Monday confirmed it is aware of “cyber breaches across the federal government” after the agency on Sunday said federal agencies were ordered to disconnect servers that might have been compromised.
“The Department of Homeland Security is aware of cyber breaches across the federal government and working closely with our partners in the public and private sector on the federal response,” Alexei Woltornist, the DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, said in a statement on Monday.
“As the federal lead for cyber breaches of civilian federal agencies, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has already issued Emergency Directive 21-01 to the federal government to address compromises related to SolarWinds.”
Hackers may have infiltrated federal government systems on SolarWinds server software that is used by government agencies and major corporations, officials said previously.
DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) previously warned that the “compromise of SolarWinds’ Orion Network Management Products poses unacceptable risks to the security of federal networks” and “tonight’s directive is intended to mitigate potential compromises within federal civilian networks, and we urge all our partners—in the public and private sectors—to assess their exposure to this compromise and to secure their networks against any exploitation.”
In a statement, SolarWinds CEO Kevin Thompson noted there was a possible vulnerability related to updates earlier this year to its Orion software. The firm added that it is working with federal law enforcement agencies and the U.S. intelligence community.
“We believe that this vulnerability is the result of a highly sophisticated, targeted, and manual supply chain attack by a nation-state,” he told The Associated Press in a statement.
Earlier on Sunday, the U.S. Department of Commerce confirmed there was a security “breach” in one of its bureaus.
“We can confirm there has been a breach in one of our bureaus,” a Commerce Department spokesperson told The Epoch Times. “We have asked CISA and the FBI to investigate, and we cannot comment further at this time.”
And FireEye, a cybersecurity firm, wrote that it found a “global intrusion campaign” described as “widespread.”
“The actors behind this campaign gained access to numerous public and private organizations around the world,” the firm said in a blog post.
“The victims have included government, consulting, technology, telecom, and extractive entities in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We anticipate there are additional victims in other countries and verticals. FireEye has notified all entities we are aware of being affected,” according to the post.
The alleged hacking incident was first reported by Reuters.
US GOVERNMENT CYBER BREACH ACROSS ALL DEPARTMENTS
Is President Trump About To Invoke The Insurrection Act And Arrest Government Officials Complicit In Election Fraud?
On Tuesday December 15, President Donald Trump sent out a series of messages that shudder of law and order, giving off the feeling that greater law enforcement action is imminent to preserve the integrity of US elections, now and for the future.
The President must defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Adamantly, Trump warned that the fight is not over, that there is “much more to come.”
Dominion Voting Machines Produce Unprecedented Error Rate, Paving The Way For Fraud Across Multiple States
President Trump singled out the 68 percent error rate in the Michigan voting machines.
“Tremendous problems being found with voting machines. They are so far off it is ridiculous,” President Trump tweeted. “This is not what the USA is all about. Law enforcement shielding machines. DO NOT TAMPER, a crime. Much more to come!”
Dominion Voting Systems in Antrim county Michigan recently underwent a forensic audit. By federal law, the Federal Election Commission only allows the machines to harbor an error rate of only 0.0008 percent.
The Dominion Voting Systems had a 68.5 percent error rate and all the security log files were deleted! This error rate adjudicated an unprecedented number of ballots, allowing Democrat election officials to manually assign the vote for each rejected ballot behind closed doors.
This is why thousands of votes were switched from Trump to Biden in that precinct. With this evidence alone, all Dominion Voting Systems machines should be impounded across the U.S. and subjected to forensic audits.
If the final vote tabulation is fraudulent in this county, why wouldn’t the same tactics be programmed into Dominion Voting Systems in counties across the country? This tactic allows votes to be switched after election day — the security log file trail covered up.
Military Should Be Called Into To All Swing States, Especially Georgia
This tactic is coordinated election fraud. The military should be called into seize the machines and take possession over the ballots. The ballots could be subjected to a kinematic audit that uses the laws of physics and mechanics to determine the printing of fraudulent ballots.
The military should be called into Georgia for certain, where Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger have conducted meaningless recounts that count fraudulent ballots over and over, while not matching signatures of absentee ballots with the signatures on the envelopes nor conducting any forensic audit of Dominion’s voting system.
President Trump retweeted a message by Attorney Lin Wood:
“President Trump is a genuinely good man,” Wood’s tweet read. “He does not really like to fire people. I bet he dislikes putting people in jail, especially “Republicans.” He gave @BrianKempGA & @GaSecofState every chance to get it right. They refused. They will soon be going to jail.”
Many of Kemp’s colleagues, friends and family could go to prison for rigging the election and for sending huge amounts of money to China for “covid supplies” that ultimately got funneled to the Governor’s family and colleagues via kickbacks from communist China.
The state began using Dominion Voting machines for the 2020 election and approved mail-in ballot drop boxes at unsecure locations. These drop boxes are prone to ballot harvesting operations and thousands of change of address ID fraud have been identified in the state.
Is President Trump Preparing To Invoke The Insurrection Act Of 1807?
This would authorize the deployment of land and naval forces on US soil to stop the insurrection or obstruction of the laws of the United States and the individual states.
The President could call forth the militia for the purpose of suppressing such insurrection or of causing the laws to be duly executed.
President Trump has already provided legal precedent to use the insurrection act: He also wrote:
“Swing States that have found massive VOTER FRAUD, which is all of them, CANNOT LEGALLY CERTIFY these votes as complete & correct without committing a severely punishable crime,” President Trump said.
The states certified fraudulent vote tabulations anyway.
“Everybody knows that dead people, below age people, illegal immigrants, fake signatures, prisoners, and many others voted illegally,” he continued.
“Also, machine ‘glitches’ (another word for FRAUD), ballot harvesting, non-resident voters, fake ballots, ‘stuffing the ballot box,’ votes for pay, roughed up Republican Poll Watchers, and sometimes even more votes than people voting, took place in Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere.”
“In all Swing State cases, there are far more votes than are necessary to win the State, and the Election itself,” President Trump concluded.
“Therefore, VOTES CANNOT BE CERTIFIED. THIS ELECTION IS UNDER PROTEST!”

Christmas Miracles: These True Stories Will Make You Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Christmastime evokes feelings of warmth and comfort, and it is often referred to as the “season of giving.” The following stories showcase the true power of Christmas. They have examples of selfless giving and even some unexplainable Christmas miracles.
Marko Dutschak of Austria was due for a Christmas miracle. In 2008, a cyst had formed on the 7-year-old’s back. Doctors said it caused his spine to be as thin as a thread, which left Marko paralyzed from the chest down.
Doctors predicted that Marko would have to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. However, the week before Christmas, Marko’s mother found him walking along the balcony of his hospital room. Marko’s recovery was a Christmas miracle that doctors could have never anticipated.
“Good Morning America” featured an inspiring story in 2011 that proved just how easily the holidays can persuade a complete stranger to answer the plea of a struggling child.
Julie Sanders of Laytonville, Calif., and her son came across a letter from 5-year-old Helen Berence Reyes Cardenas. Helen’s letter was a modest request sent to Santa for a doll, clothes and a pair of boots.
Helen’s mother had told her that she would not be able to afford much for the family that year for Christmas and helped Helen send a letter to Santa at the North Pole by balloon. Impressed by the thoughtful message sent by Helen, which lacked the common materialistic requests one might see made by other children Helen’s age, Sanders decided to do something to help the struggling family.
She managed to track down the family, who lived about 700 miles away, and chose to buy Helen clothes and toys and sent them via overnight mail so that Helen’s family had time to put them under the Christmas tree.
Sanders explains that she was particularly inspired to make the gesture when she realized that the letter was dated Dec. 2, which is the birthday of her brother who had passed away a few years prior, proving that even pain can inspire happiness during a time like Christmas.
Lately, it seems as if more and more stories have been released about women going into labor when they had no clue that they were pregnant. There’s even a television show called “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant,” which details the surprise that women are met with when they’re told that they are about to deliver a baby after nine months of unnoticeable or misinterpreted pregnancy-related symptoms.
Twenty-one-year-old Leanne Carter experienced such an event when she was hospitalized on Christmas Day after complaining of intense stomach pains. Hospital staff ran tests and quickly realized that the reason for Leanne’s pain was that she was in labor. Hours later, she gave birth to a healthy baby, whom she considers her very own Christmas Day miracle.
An impending foreclosure is certainly not the way any family would like to ring in the holiday season. For Daniel and Ebony Sampson, the parents of two young children, this is the type of Christmas they faced. They were informed that their house would be foreclosed on if they couldn’t come up with $10,000 to bring their mortgage current.
Ebony Sampson had purchased the house with life insurance money that she received from her parents’ death. She was the sole survivor of a car crash that killed her entire family when she was in 10th grade.
As if Ebony had not experienced enough tragedy in her life, she was about to lose the home she had purchased, which was close to where she grew up with her family. After experiencing a bad case of salmonella poisoning, Daniel was let go from his new job, and Ebony, also unemployed, soon found out she was pregnant.
Not expecting much, their friend Jaki Grier posted the Sampsons’ story on her blog with a donation link. To the shock of the Sampsons and Grier, just five days later, strangers from all around the world who were inspired by the hardship of the struggling family had donated $11,032. This was enough to save the Sampsons’ house from foreclosure.
The efforts of one friend and several strangers hoping to give a little Christmas cheer became a story of a Christmas miracle that the Sampsons plan on telling their children for years to come.
