How to Read the World Hierarchy Pyramid
Monroe organizes the pyramid into a series of tiers, with each level representing a different component of his proposed hierarchy. At the bottom is the general population: ordinary people living within established political, economic, technological, and cultural systems.
Moving upward, the map introduces increasingly complex networks involving secret societies, think tanks, financial and political institutions, religious organizations, priesthoods, royal bloodlines, and other groups that Monroe associates with systems of influence and control. Higher levels move beyond conventional geopolitics entirely and into Monroe's interpretation of extraterrestrial, metaphysical, and spiritual realms.

The Five Tiers of the World Hierarchy Pyramid

General Population Bronze
The base of Monroe's pyramid represents the overwhelming majority of humanity. Within the map's framework, this tier explores mass culture, media, technology, government institutions, propaganda, surveillance, behavioral influence, and the mechanisms Monroe believes shape public perception.
Secret Societies & Think Tanks Silver
The second tier moves into organizations and networks Monroe associates with political, financial, military, scientific, educational, and media influence.
The map groups together numerous historical organizations, secret societies, orders, and institutions and proposes relationships between them. These connections reflect Monroe's research and interpretation and are not uniformly supported by mainstream historical scholarship.
Priesthoods & Bloodlines Gold
The third tier explores the historical relationship between political power, monarchy, religion, priesthoods, nobility, dynastic families, and esoteric traditions.

The World Hierarchy Pyramid Map Key: Monroe's Own Guide
The reverse of the World Hierarchy Pyramid poster carries Monroe's written key to the artwork. In it he describes a world built on hierarchical systems of power, control, cults, and controllers, and frames the pyramid as his most comprehensive attempt to illustrate that hierarchy, with each tier named for a material, from bronze at the base to aether at the summit. He draws on Judaeo-Christian and Gnostic conceptions of the higher realms, notes that many of the names and terminology have counterparts in Eastern philosophy, and presents the whole structure as a case system that he believes people can step out of through sovereignty and free will.
