The central question has changed.
It is no longer simply whether Iran, Ukraine, Taiwan, financial markets or climate disruptions can be managed independently.
The question is what happens when several of them demand resources, capital and political attention at the same time.
SIGNAL 1 — HORMUZ REMAINS THE GLOBAL TRIGGER
The Strait of Hormuz remains GAR's most important immediate geopolitical indicator.
Commodity-vessel crossings remained in the single digits late last week, while stalled U.S.–Iran negotiations, threats against oil flows and additional sanctions pressure kept energy markets unsettled.
At the same time, Iran's president is publicly supporting a diplomatic pathway with Washington—creating an unusual combination of negotiation and escalation occurring simultaneously.

SIGNAL 2 — THE MECCA PACT CHANGES THE REGIONAL MAP
The Saudi Arabia–Turkey–Pakistan defense agreement is beginning to look less like a diplomatic announcement and more like an emerging security architecture.
The three countries are developing political and military coordination, joint exercises, defense-industrial cooperation and collaboration involving drones, electronic warfare and AI.
Egypt has also been identified as a possible future participant.

Long-term U.S. Treasury yields recently reached levels not seen since 2007, driven by concerns surrounding government debt, inflation, oil prices and future monetary policy.
Treasury responded by expanding long-term bond buybacks to improve market liquidity.
